Sustainability Manager (f/d/m) GARDENA



Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Overall support of VP Program Office regarding Sustainability/ Sustainovate
  • Drive definition of a Sustainability communication program (on all levels) and support input collection and creation of communication materials, such as websites or online media, posts, PR etc. to generate awareness of sustainability issues in an appealing but as well in an compliant manner
  • Give input to material, presentations and reports (especially Sustainability report) for internal and external stakeholders regarding Sustainability/ Sustainovate
  • Identify new potential areas for sustainability projects to support our strategy and align & approve with the functional management
  • Challenge organization in case of non-addressed potentials or opportunities
  • Ensures sustainability- or environment-related risk assessments in the different functions by the functional leads reviewing/auditing functional sustainability objectives in accordance with policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
  • Drives awareness creation and education of employees on the importance of sustainability initiatives
  • Working together in national, international and cross functional teams


  • Completed commercial vocational training or comparable training with a focus on Sustainability. Continued professional education or completed studies would be an advantage.
  • Several years of professional experiences in the overall field of Sustainability, preferably in the consumer and/or plastic manufacturing industry
  • Preferable experienced in sustainable PR and stakeholder communication as well as GRI/sustainable reporting
  • Knowledge regarding global warming potential analysis as well as live cycle assessment
  • International experiences would be an advantage
  • Organized, analytical, communicative and persistent
  • Collaborative and inspirational as well as open minded/innovative
  • Proactive personality that challenges the status quo, brings in high enthusiasm for sustainability
  • Very good knowledge and editorial skills in English and German
  • Enthusiasm for gardening is beneficial
